Customer Support and Feedback that goes above and beyond.
The DIS Protocol Analyzer detects hundreds of errors on your network. With that being said, there will always be errors that we haven't even thought of. When you purchase our software, we are here to help!
If you are running the latest version of the DIS Protocol Analyzer and you run into an error that is not reported by our software, we want to know about it! The DIS Protocol Analyzer has the capability to record the network activity. If you can supply us with a recording where the error occurs, we will work to make sure that our software will detect the problem in the future (at no cost to you)!
If you are running in a classified environment and cannot provide the recording to us, we will come to your site (or to any site on your network) to add this detection LABOR FREE! You would only have to pay the expenses for us to travel to your site (i.e. travel, hotel, and per diem).
Why do we do this? We want the DIS Protocol Analyzer to provide the best error detection on the market. We are continuously working to improve our product to make sure that we are the best.
When you purchase the DIS Protocol Analyzer, this entitles you any new releases of the software for one year. After this time a small maintenance fee is required to continue to have access to these updates. We feel that you will see the value in having the latest and greatest software and will be able to see the improvements throughout the year. If you do not feel that the value added through our support and updates is worth the price, don't continue on the maintenance plan. Your license for your current version will still be good and will never expire. We HATE expiring licenses!
Why do we charge a maintenance fee? It's very simple, a tool such as this is a very maintenance intensive effort and quite frankly, the market of companies/organizations that use DIS is fairly limited. It's not the type of software that millions of copies will be sold. The motivation of keeping the software up to date so that you see the value in keeping the maintenance up to date will continue to drive us to keep improving the software.
Previous tools that were similar to the DIS Protocol Analyzer did not charge this. There was no motivation to keep the software up to date. As a result, they fall by the wayside as new versions of Windows, new compilers, and new DIS Standards come out.
